The nation is literally crumbling under a heat wave, so if you’re sheltering from the heat right now, there are plenty of creative ways to distract yourself from angst, both personal and global. (Be at least a little angsty , though.)
This month, we have a fashion/mood board challenge — brought to you by some of the same hosts that offered Wedding Week back in April — I do love a good mood board.
Childhood Week is now on for July, with prizes available, and for those of us with a darker nature, there are also challenges to suit. (I got to learn the definition of “lycanthropy” this month — human turns into wolf.)
Remember: although these prompts are designed for visual artists, writers can use them too! I think the Spooky Summer and Sense challenge are particularly good for the wordsmiths among you.
Follow the first prompts for more on each challenge:
50's - pin up / retro / diner / drive-in
Also: I’m not doing a newsletter for August, so check here or on the ‘gram for next month’s calendar.
